Heritage
From Roman Numidia to today
The springs of this region have been in use since Roman Numidia, when thermal bathing stood at the heart of civic life. Hammam Essalhine belongs to that living tradition.
For generations, families from across eastern Algeria have come to take the waters here. El Djenna is designed to honour that continuity and to give it a setting worthy of it.
The water
Certified thermal water
The spring is officially analysed by Algeria’s national water agency, the ANRH. Its laboratory certifies water rising at 48 °C, strongly mineralised in sulphates and calcium, with a neutral pH of 7.2 and no detected heavy metals: the classic profile of a first-rank thermal source.
